The Vietnamese New Year festival held at the Youth Cultural House attracts hundreds of people to have fun, take pictures and visit.

In the evening, a large number of tourists flocked to the Youth Cultural House, Pham Ngoc Thach Street, District 1 to participate in the 2022 Vietnamese New Year Festival. The program lasted from January 16 to 31 (on the 14th to 29th of the lunar calendar). , opening a space imbued with traditional Tet cultural identity with Mai street, Ong Do street, lanterns, couplets… attracting a large number of tourists to visit and experience.

The area of ​​Ong Do street in front of the Youth Cultural House is red with spring colors from calligraphy, calligraphy, lucky money envelopes, couplets wishing spring…

“Madam” Vo Thi Kieu Tram, 23 years old, is passionate about calligraphy and has been practicing writing since middle school. Despite her young age, this is her 6th year participating in the street. For Tram, calligraphy is an indispensable cultural beauty in life, especially during Tet, so despite the influence of the Covid-19 epidemic, she still tries to be present to give letters to everyone.

Unique handmade items made from corrugated paper are loved by many visitors. The paper is cleverly folded and then glued to form a dragon, cat, god of fortune, Phuc Loc Tho… Visitors can also buy paper to make it themselves according to the instructions.

Tourists come here to take pictures of Tet, buy souvenirs and walk on Ong Do Street. “I thought the epidemic would make the atmosphere gloomy, but I didn’t expect it to be so crowded today, making me feel like Tet is right in front of my eyes,” she shared.

The miniature area is elaborately decorated with red ribbons, the red lanterns become shimmering under the lights, which is a favorite photo spot for young people. The festival has a seating area and food stalls serving visitors. You can go in the cool morning to take pictures with beautiful light, the evening is more crowded and bustling.
